Professor Jack Joseph sipped his apple martini and looked at Jacqueline seated across from him. “Everything is about particles. Reality depends on the random uncertainty of the electron, of which physicists have never been able to determine its precise location at a specific time. Without this invisible speck nothing would exist. Everything we know comes from it, is determined by it, and held together by it. Evolution is the result of an electron leaving one atom for another. This uncertain leaping from one atom to the next is the cause of all change in the universe, including us.”
“This martini is changing me,” Jacqueline said.
Jack flashed an evil grin. Waved to the waiter to bring her another.
